I'm truly tired of dropping balls. I feel like I have put enough points into most the important catching stats needed, except maybe confidence, up to this point. Any way anyone can help enlighten me would be greatly appreciated!

I was going for speed WR but started to try to do something about my drops a bit back. I want to be fast but sure don't want to lead the league in drops (I was close last season, but also had almost another 1,000 yard season).
Also, I think that my QB & I are not matching up well do to my speed and his lack of strength or ability to get the ball farther down field, I'm not sure.
Any help?

Stats this season so far:
8 drops
34 receptions
481 yards
5 TDs
6.9 YAC
0 Fumb (knock on wood three times)
I know the stats are not to bad, but last 3 seasons I averaged 23 drops.

Here is what I have:
Strength:21 Blocking:10
Speed:77.62 Tackling:10
Agility:57.62 Throwing:8
Jumping:42.62 Catching:57.62
Stamina:29.62 Carrying:29.03
Vision:40.62 Kicking:9
Confidence:24.03 Punting:9

Position SAs
route run: +1
sticky hands: +3
jump catch: +2
diving catch: +1
one hand catch: +1

Speedster SAs
first step: +4
Quick cut: +4
head fake: +2
spin: +2
juke: +2

Vet. abilities:
ball hawk: +2
soft hands: +1
sure hands: +2

Any Ideas???

Confidence..he is more confident in catching the ball. My receiver had the same issue until I brought up his confidence

You need more vision before you start worrying about confidence.
Vision is more important than most WRs think in actually receiving the ball.
You:
1. Adjust to the ball being thrown better
2. Work around gaps more consistently during routes
3. Know when to slow and when to accelerate and do it more smoothly (depending on agility also)
4. Catch the ball at a higher frequency
5. This is more speculation but I believe you have a "knowledge" to avoiding pass deflections with it
6. Have a chance at finding an opening after the catch and taking advantage of it.

For your wide receiver, you have two issues that I can see from a distance (IE: only having attribute info)
The first is that you're not fast or agile enough to get very good separation.
The second is that your secondary attributes are very high in comparison to your major ones.
WRs in my experience excel more with specialization.

You should get your speed and agility to 68 natural.
After that or some time in between, I'd get vision up to at least 48, probably 60 and catching rounded out to 60.
In the meantime, send VAs you get to Sure Hands.
When you are able to reset next off season, consolidate your VA points all in to one VA.

Increasing your carrying will reduce your drops considerably.
