He is up to date on all equipment, will need his level 56 equipment sometime around day 20 of this season. I have 2 pieces of AE on him, so will only need 2 pieces of level 56, I just upgraded one of my pieces of AE and only have 2 tokens currently, so won't need that one upgraded again for another 15 days.
