Are these setting the same except for the fact that when you are in a good position to get to the ball you knock it down(semi) instead of trying to catch it?

Does semi-aggressive make you "play safer"(or anything that changes a PD-able play into a Tackle)?

Aggressive means you're more likely to jump the route to try to intercept the ball at the risk of missing altogether and allowing your receiver to get behind you.
