Does % fake chance have any affect on getting open, or does it only help you make a defender miss once you've caught the ball? Also, how about head fake and juke? I'm not having much success getting open going the speedster + high first step route, so I'm thinking of changing my AE. I have a + 3 speed + 2% fake chance piece and a + 5% fake chance piece and I'm considering upgrading them (+ 31% fake chance). And if I go this route, should I reconfigure his equipment from 114/71 to less speed and more agility or leave it the same?

I like the fake chance. I have a piece and have seen the difference as I upped my agility. I recommend trying it.

It goes not affect getting open, however it is a big help once you catch the ball. For you, I would consider keeping EQ the same, and adding as much of a % fake chance as you can. But Speed will always rule for regular EQ.

Agility will help you get open, especially if you have enough to run on creative route running effectively. HF is a fake and will trigger in RRing and after catch. Juke and spin are carry fakes. But HF and QC are for both RRing and Carrying. So upping % fake WILL help you get open!!!!

Fake chance will help with getting open and getting YAC assuming the multiplicative bonus has something to multiply.
IE: You need fake SAs + other VAs to be most successful with that route.

How much agility is needed to use creative route running effectively? That's why I asked about possibly moving around equipment in my original post.

yes over 70 will work 80 better. Goes with out saying, the higher the better.
