I had 2 games this year against cake teams. Game 1 I had 8 TD's and 300 yards with a 131 passer raiting. Game 2 I had 500+ yards, 12 TD's and a 143 passer rating (70% completion with most being drops).

My moral at the end of both games was 24 and 27..... WTF is that.... If I just murdered a team and threw 8 or 12 TD's I wouldn't be thinking about slitting my wrists.

This was discussed for a long time right after Bort made post-game morale viewable.

For whatever reason it appears to be practically impossible to regain morale without certain SAs or VAs (the "General" SAs and Motivational Speaker VA). If your team doesn't have players that are providing those boosts, then the vast majority of your players are going to finish every game with really low morale no matter how much you win by. That's just the way it is.

You might think that playing well (gaining yards, completing passes, getting pancakes etc) would increase morale, but it doesn't.

Edit- or if it does, it is a *VERY* minor gain.

I'm starting to belive field general and natural leader are gold, also getting your kicker and punter to boost motivational speaker is a good thing. For qbs there are a ton of moral killers, from defensive SAs, to drops to interceptions and so on. There is a lot of things to take off moral and not a whole lot to boost a QBs moral. High confidence helps minimize the effect, but there is no way to neutrilize the effect, Fg give it back.

Also before I softcapped my stam, I was finishing games with 20 moral or so. After I softcapped stam, I never dropped below 50 moral. At boost, I bumped up FG from 5 to 7 and now I'm ending games with around 70 moral and play very well all through the game. I don't know how stam effects moral, if it was because my player was getting tired and throwing bad passes getting more negs in moral, or if low energy makes moral hits more effective or what, but stam did help greatly.

Interesting point about stamina, it does make sense though. I know my morale wouldn't be too great either if I was exhausted.

So morale loss at QB can be lessened or at least compensated for by:

Confidence
Stamina
Field General SA (and even more with Natural Leader VA)
Other Players with Motivational Speaker VA when he is on the bench
Thick Skin VA (But how much of your morale loss comes from Trash Talk, Growl, Snarl, and Glare?)

Anything missing?

Your QB is only lvl 20 so I assume you have no points spent in confidence yet.
When your confidence increases, morale will stay higher. Simple as that.
