You can always use sure tackler VA as a bandaid. Worked for my FS who only missed 7 tackles (and most of those were powerthru which i dont' think you have a chance of stopping if it activates) and led the team in tackles (pro level too). His tkl/str isn't that high. Sure tackler is working now as opposed to in season 8. Definitely nice for safeties who want to maintain a lot of spd/agi/vision in addition to being the last line of defense on tackles

Sure Tackler isn't a very sexy VA as it doesn't give you a bunch of extra stats like FFs, INTs, PDs but it's good for the team goal of winning. I think a must have for safeties at least to like 5-10

No, you're right. Tackling is the biggest factor in FFum.

Damn i can't imagine what my S.S. would do with more tackling then.

2 or 3 seasons ago I got my hands on this replay (would never be able to track it down again) where it was one of the worst built SS's I had ever seen. This player had something like 70 speed, 34 agility, 40 strength, 78 tackling. He was in the grasp of being blocked by the WR2, about 10 or 15 yards downfield on the strongside. Somehow, with the HB already past him, the play stopped. The HB was literally about 5 yards behind him, while being blocked, and he made the tackle. Now I do believe at the high levels, just about any SS needs to have 90-100 speed, and 70 agility just for the sake of keeping up with everyone else, but I think there is something to be said about obscenely high tackling skills.

Interesting. I can believe it too. I use to run with a fullback who had 120 blocking. He would make the sickest blocks. he would catch guys form behind and be 5 yards away and drag a guy to him.
