As for the catching question, it depends a lot on your jumping. With higher jumping, the point on the z-axis at which you can get to the ball increases. The higher that point is, the more catching you need to hit your int roll. So, although it seems like any increase in jumping would help your int chances, it really hurts them if you don't have higher catching to go with it. Of course this is very simplified because so many other factors go into whether you get a good number of ints. If you have higher jumping (in the 60-68 range), you should really have capped catching if you want increased int chances.
