i ran across this in one of the forums i am in and thought you guys might be interested to take a look. what happened between 08/08 and 09/08 to make the number of visitors drop so much?

They cut down on multis?

August = Back to School

Also, August was encapsulated within Season 4 entirely while September had a chunk of offseason between seasons 4 and 5

Plus, maybe after 3/4 seasons a lot of people realized how much you have to pay to keep going and be successful and said fark it.
