A lot of people think once you get above 100 of anything, in this case speed, it's a waste. Thoughts? Anyone have a WR and they saw a significant difference adding speed after 100?

Waste? No.
Better spent elsewhere? Possibly.

Would you rather say get speed to 106 or catching to 73 or agility to 76? Meaning they're all 4 below that ATM. I realize you're one guy but I've never asked any advice...built a great WR...just at this point want some more opinions.

Some CBs like 95/85, some like 105/70, some would get 115 speed if they feel like it won't harm their build and they're playing #1 receiver.

I think it'd be better to add to agility.

I think the best answer would be that it depends on the season. Last season, with the buff to SDC, going over 100 speed was far less useful than it had been. Prior to that you could dominate with 115 speed/70 agility receiver.

In my opinion, you are better off greating increasing another attribute over a miniscule increase in another.

A) I suggest there is a speed curve, e.g. you need to stay at a certain high speed per each level to be effective if you want to be a pure speedster. If you fall below that. you will see a large drop off in production. If your going to win with speed, you need to stay a certain amount ahead of everyone else. The difference 4 points of speed from an equipment upgrade makes at the higher levels for people with elite speed is significant.

B) A balance WR with 90s speed (speed in 60-68+ all EQ in speed) has so many more points to allocate than an elite speed WR. They do become more "balanced." They get open on short routes, maintain the explosiveness of a deep threat, and catch the ball in traffic.

It really comes down to either what type of guy you want to build and can you put him in the right system for his build or if you are already in a system, build the guy to suit the one he is in.

well, for all the people who are hyping agility up, it's recently becoming more clear that with high "first step," high agility becomes redundant in some ways.

sure it will help with change of direction, avoiding fumbles, activating certain SA's BUT -

100 speed, 68 agility and 11 first step is indiscernable from one with 100 speed and 85 agility and 0 first step

the extra skill points in the first step build would be better off in strength, carrying, etc at that point.

Hi! Did you get the memo that FS was changed to help high agility guys more?

And I'm calling bullshit on the "indiscernable" part, whether or not you see it in the Pbp, I guarantee the higher FS guy is quite obvious from the stat column.
