Trying to make a hard hitter. Anybody got suggestions? I was tihnking to cap strength before speed and work on tackling more than usual

no. you still have to go 68/68/68 to be effective at all IMO. then instead of capping jumping maybe you cap strength.

maybe get a monster hit or big hit SA through AE?

If your looking for a Hard Hitter just make a SS. A CB hard hitter is just gonna get burned most of the time and will more likely just be a backup and Special Teamer on most teams. If that's what you wanna make go for it.

They won't get burned... they just won't produce the way most CB's produce. You can build a hard hitting CB with plenty of speed, agility, and vision to keep up. You just go speed/agility... then agility/vision... then vision/jumping... then jumping/strength... then strength/tackling. Ignore catching. I still think you would go after ballhawk as your initial VA... then follow it with jackhammer.

I still think building a shutdown corner is a much better option... but I guess it's worth a try.

but what is hard hitting? 50 strength/tackling or 60 in one of the others.
