As far as I can tell, low moral has a huge impact, much more so than low chemistry. Unfortunately, I am an expert with both

Lucky you! Just kidding, actually most of our players' hasn't either, but have traded for a few players in the low 70s (yeah, they wanted a trade because their old teams were really bad!). I think it gets exponentially worse as you lose more games, and that your player's Confidence dictates how much it goes down by and how quickly you recover it with wins.

Low, like 16.5.

My SS is on an 0-15 team in AA#3. His confidence is 15, his morale is 82.

That probably explains it.
