MagiK: Hi Freakshow, How are the islands, getting any tan?? Its good to have you with us today.
FS-Thanks for having me.
MK: What do you think has been the "key-point" with the success of your team?
FS-Well we have a awesome group of guys who have clicked very quickly as this is our first season together. There are so many factors that are involved in our success but if I had to choose one, I think it would be the team's desire to win. Living here in Hawaii I think we all have that "chip" on our shoulder, always having that feeling that we need to prove to the world that we can compete.
MK: Playoffs are just around corner, how is your team dealing with this, since you guys are pretty much guaranteed a spot?
FS-We are using each game to fine tune our gameplan. We feel that each game gives us an opportunity to improve and prepare us for success in the playoffs.
MK: The Elite Sea Team is right under you (3rd) and you guys face them in Game 15, will the outcome of the game be a prequel to a matchup in the playoffs?
FS-Although there are still have 1/4 of the season to go and things can change, I think we will have to be careful of our game plan against EST. We definitely don't want to show them everything we can do because there is a good chance we could meet again, although the Western Conference is so tight you never know what will happen.
MK: The term "Quad" has been used to describe the 4 teams that have been constantly giving nightmares for the teams facing at least three of you guys, in a row. Now all of "The Quad" play at a very competitive level; but in your opinion, who do you think is the weakest (Warriors, Vampires, Thunder, Outlaws) of the four?
FS-Well, First I'll say that we have shown that we are the BEST of "The Quad", no one has proven otherwise. This team is still bitter about the loss to the Wiz, as we all feel that the game was a fluke loss. Sorry to get off topic but we still feel sick about it. As far as who is the weakest of The Quad, I'd say the Outlaws. They put of the weakest fight of all the teams.
MK: Now you have "The Quad" to worry about. But are there any other teams that you believe has a chance to make some noise in the playoffs?
FS- I don't believe that there is any team in the Western Conference that worries us. We'd just want to get another chance at the Wiz and the Stars.
MK: Enough with the playoffs, how's the locker room, any player who likes to make lots of noise, a Team-clown perhaps??? Also who in your opinion would be the leader of the Offense as well as the Defense??
FS-The team has a great chemistry, we all get along very well. As an outsider one might think the team argues a lot but that's just how we all are. Since we are all very competitive, everyone is always trying to prove their the best at everything, even when it's fun. Everyone is always taking a jab at each another. I'd say we have a number of clowns on our team: Papa_Bear, Narutokun808 and ABDVash. They definitely the cause of the noise in the locker room.
As far as offensive leader, I know it's uncommon, but I'd have to give credit to our back-up QB: Marino "He only throws TD's" Ibiki. He has great leadership over our offense and it has shown in the offensive production. The offense definitely rallies around him and the stats don't lie: 11 TD's and 0 sacks allowed.
Defensively we have 2 leaders I'd like to credit our defensive success to: Our secondary is lead by Ash Catchum while our front 7 is lead by Kaptain Kaveman. While their stats don't show it because other teams avoid these 2 like the plague, they are proven leaders on and off the field.
MK: There has been talk from the owners about a Pro-bowl, is there any player on your team you would like to recommend?
FS-Everyone. Well on our team we have a lot of guys who deserve to be recognized but if I had to choose one it would be Lefty Tackle, he's the anchor and quiet leader of our offensive line. That's not even mentioning the crazy amount of pancakes hes racked up!
MK: Oh man, is that all the time we have?? Thanks for the interview Freakshow, and good luck with the final stretch of the season, as well as the playoffs.
FS-Thanks for having me, its been an honor to represent the Honolulu Warriors.
