I have a lot of flex (boosting and CE) tied up in this guy and I'm debating if I should retire him or not. Is he good/bad/great for his level? (He played ROLB for most of this season)

Also, imo I've been pretty lucky on my AE rolls so he's got the following equip:
CE: +6 speed
+7 Agility and +3 Strong Base (32 BT)
+3 Speed and +1 Superior Vision (8 BT)
+6 Agility and +2 Shutdown Coverage (24 BT)
+5 Speed

What position are you trying to play? It looks like you've built some sort of cross between Rusher, Coverage and MLB.

First piece of advice is dump the Strong Base and use those Tokens for the other AE. You simply don't have the strength for that SA.

Thanks for the advice. I've bounced from MLB to LOLB, and now to ROLB, so I've had him playing all over to help out the team when needed, but I probably do need to focus on one specific position now.

Why isnt his tackling at least capped? Good idea to sell the strong base and put those points into super vision. He's a LOLB. Id up his str also.

Yeah, a bunch of other agents with LBs recommended it.

This guy was my first player, so it took some time before I realized how to use the softcaps. He doesnt really get many missed tackles so I didn't think the extra tackling was needed.

Some believe more tackling can increase your tackling radius. Further it has been shown to have an effect on FF, and higher tackling allows you to play on aggressive tackling, which combined with power tackler can produce a decent amount of fumbles.

Also playing on balanced vs wrapup gives a noticeable reduction in the "drag after contact yardage" which is a good benefit to having tackling at least capped.

I'd say keep him. If you're not missing tackles now, spend all your SP on speed, then agility, to get them both to the third cap. Then cap tackling, or take it even higher. Also, lose the strong base, get S/D coverage to 3, use the rest on SV. He should probably be a LOLB with the AEQ. Apply your points to AEQ so that when both speed and agility are 69 natural (train to 95% before capping) your speed will be 5-10 points higher than agility.
