Ok, I'll make the case for Otis Beef (LOT):
- Led the league in Pancakes - 213, tied with his book end tackle Smashface.
- 3rd place was 158. Nowhere close.
- As far as run blocking, Otis Beef put people on their cans by 25% more then anyone else other than his own teammate.
- He also protected the blindside and faced the best pass rusher's in the league.
How he faired against the top 6 teams he faced this year:Louisiana Screaming Pelicans - 15 pancakes - 0 sacks - 1 hurry
(16-0 regular season)
Semarang Red Bulls - 11 pancakes - 0 sacks - 1 hurry
(Conference Champion)
(imo, bad call he was blocked
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=476952&pbp_id=16049035)Singapore Marauders - 10 pancakes - 0 sacks - 1 hurry
(Beat ESL in playoffs, made conference championship)
Bangkok Tweetys - 3 pancakes - 1 sacks - 2 hurry
(12-4 regular season, 1 playoff win)
Manila Warlords - 23 pancakes - 0 sacks - 0 hurry
(12-4 regular season)
Sumatra Sting - 4 pancakes - 0 sacks - 0 hurry
(11-5 regular season, 1 playoff win)
Overall 66 pancakes - 1 sack - 5 hurry
I would have listed more top teams, but it would have just inflated the stats. These were only stats against the best of the best he faced only! Honestly I could have shown one good play here and there, but what would that really show. Just that he had one or two good plays in a game. GM's know it isn't about what you did on one play but the whole game. Therefore I wanted to give everyone actual stats. I would love to see something similar on these other players.
Otis Beef is undoubtedly the #1 run blocker, tied with Smashface his teammate. He played LOT against the best DE's on each team. And he is a top 5 pass blocker, probably closer to top 3. He barely give up a sack this year, held defenders completely in check all game, and dominated nearly every top team in the run game.
