Only one more game to go and the playoff picture is looking clearer. My predictions have played out pretty well so far.
1. Rhode Island Red Wolves - 14-2. Have a semi-test vs. Flathead in the season finale. Win (or Pirates loss, which I am predicting) and homefield is theirs.
2. Kung Fu Fighting Chin Kickers - 13-3. The only team as hot as RIRW right now is the Chin Kickers. They can't get higher than 2, in fact, I believe that even if RIRW and the Pirates both lose, RIRW would still be #1, followed by the CK and then the Pirates.
3. Cochabamba Pirates - 13-3. They are picking a bad time to have things fall apart. I thought they would put up more of a fight vs. the Chin Kickers, but it's the second straight bad loss for them. I think the Pirates will make it three losses in a row losing to their namesakes in the season finale.
4. Indianapolis Thunderhawks 13-3. Didn't have a test in the final four weeks of the season and coast into the playoffs.
5. Liberty City Cocks 12-4. Sets up a very nice 1st round matchup with the Thunderhawks.
6. Orlando Outlaws 11-5. I thought they could beat Flathead, but it was a beatdown. Dangerous team going into the playoffs.
7. Orlando Pirates 10-6. Clinched a playoff birth with their win vs. the Hawks. Will end up either 7 with a win vs. Cochahambra or a loss and some help, or possibly 8. But either way, they are in.
The 8th seed has some scenarios. I believe the Ohio Valley Vultures control their own destiny. If they beat the Hawks, they are in. Flathead needs to beat RIRW and for the Vultures to lose. The Hawks can make the playoffs with a win vs. Ohio Valley and a Flathead loss.
So the only two relevant games for Week 16 are:
Rhode Island vs. Flathead
Ohio Valley vs. New York
Then it's the playoffs!
