I think atm we are gettin further away then ever.

To get max recognition, all-stars should come out a day after week 16, I wouldn't contribute any time, as soon as the playoff starts, so i guess, we should scrap the nomination idea for this season. And should just let every owner sent ballots.

If this is discussed further, it won't lead to an all-star team selected, and there are just not enough days to nominate.

So why not declare the 2 persons that will collect ballots(one Zeta, one Alpha) and sent out ballots to all owners.

I agree, I think we should also use Corey's ballot sheet only cut in half. Positions that have 2 starters should get 2 nominees, G,T, WR, LB(3), CB, DE.

That might not be such a bad idea. I don't think anyone on here would be stupid enough to change the votes or anything, but having someone from Zeta count the Alpha votes and vice versa might instill a little more confidence in the process.

those 3 volunteered to count votes, I guess we should wait on their comment, before going ahead.

Its just whatever. I'll count up Zeta if no one else wants to do it.

I do agree that we should just go ahead with the ballots for this season though. Maybe we can get started a little earlier next season on trying to figure out a system that we can put in place.

I totally agree with you Sexy mang. The same way the Strong Side linebacker should be more productive than the middle and weakside, but the weakside might have more sacks the than middle or strong.

I am also late to the conversation, sorry decided to take a little family time. I tend to agree with Jprietman that the Owners and GMs need to be given more credit, than most seem to be giving them. I also want to point out to you guys that say 2nd stringers may not perform as well, please take a look at Jimmy Jammer (WR), from our team. he is not a starter, yet is beating our own starters and most of yours in stats. I can also say when I have scouted teams that I have been more concerned about players like the back QB from Stampede, who politely and efficiently picked up apart and the players subbing in. The difference between the pro bowl and this is we all have players who deserve starting spots, but stay with their team because of friendships, loyalties, and fun. So to eliminate a 2nd stringer because of their spot in the depth chart when they are clearly better than most other teams players is a very bad idea. For example, I am sure some of your back up CBs are better than my 2nd starter, would I trade for them no, but would I nominate them for an all star position, without a doubt. So to use the Pro Bowl arguement or to attack someone because they look at back ups will not fly the way this game is set up.

My next point, alot of you must have more time than I do, because I will not be able to effectively put together a list of 40+ players and have given it a good effort, without the help of my GMs and even some of my team members. I think we need to allow each team to put together their list however they want, I post this because I have seen several people say they think it should be owner only.

Finally, I like the idea of nominating 10 or 20 players from your conference not on your team and then maybe an additional 5 - 15 from your team. Then vote, then have a write up. The speeches before the narrowing will just be a waste of time. We do all have playoffs coming up and we need make sure teams like Stampede are put back in their place No really great game! As far as who counts the votes, I think we all have a pretty good idea who is fair and just in this league and because I don't want to do it I don't think I can complain

Edit: I do like the inclusion of MVP, OPOY, and DPOY

Yeah I'll count Zeta.

And check my earlier post for a system for next season, it works in four other leagues in GLB and at least two in real life, so its pretty much tried and tested
