Well, of course you totally neglect that Graz won it all in spite of not abusing the obvious "money play" that allowed certain teams to play way above their abilities.

nice knowing any accomplishments we had just dont count...fuck you very much too.

I don't recall saying anything at all about portland (or any specific team) but you should take more offense to offhanded comments directed at the game that about 99% of the userbase share.

I'm just saying that as someone whose season has been ended two seasons in a row by hitting a RB in the backfield only to watch him fall forward 4 yards every time, this sim is a welcome change.

specifically no you didnt say "Portland" but when you invalidate what happened in S7 and S8 due to a crappy sim you basically tell us in Portland...

That's how your comment reads to me and that's how I took it. As a slap in the face.

Do I agree that alot of teams exploited the str slam, sure. Everyone knows that the slams and falling forward bullshit. But I wouldnt necessarily dismiss teams that did well despite also having to defend the bullshit plays.

For the record last season we ran out of proset more then probably any other formation. So like Graz, we didnt avoid the slam but we sure did'nt over use it and exploit it either.

The teams that were successful last year as well as this year are obviously good teams, like Portland. Being successful in the everchanging sim is the mark of a good team and good coordinators. You guys definitely earned your way up here.

That said, I just glanced over your playoff box scores from last year and not one opponent you faced ran nearly as much as they passed to take advantage of the SI slam. Which is cool, I'm glad WE AAA1 showed some dignity in the playoffs last year, being an alum of that league and all. I wish more leagues ran semi-realistic gameplans then. But that wasn't the case in WEPL, and something tells me that if you went through what some of the teams here did, you'd have a different opinion of s8.

I'm very excited for this year's playoffs though, in both leagues. Alpha should be intense and I think any of the current 8 zeta playoff teams could win it all. There's no one unstoppable play this year, and while I can see certain plays getting run quite a bit once the playoffs roll around, at least they're actually stoppable this time. Gameplans are actually important again and that's what matters to me.

I'm excited that the team the repped Zeta last season in the title game is getting relegated. That should tell you how shitty that sim was.

A WWW upset would really make things interesting for that little group of teams. WWW would have the tiebreak over Bonn and Bonn would still have a tough game vs Greenwood.

Whats the tie break if there's a 3 way tie with Portland/Bonn/WWW?

Id like to think we can avoid that by winning at least one of the Hattgenstein/E-city games but if we did end up tied at 11-5 is it points scored after games between the 3?

If you lose 2 of your last 3 you deserve to be shot imo.

haha, no disrespect towards Hattgenstein or especially E-city. But I'd like to think we can come out of those two games with at least 1 win. But ya can't take anything for granted up here!

I can pretty much guaruntee you will beat us. We suck.

The three-way tie is highly unlikely indeed. It could very well end up that our game with Bonn and the Turin/GAC game in 2 days are the last meaningful ones of the season in Alpha. If Bonn wins, the top 4 teams are basically set in stone. If GAC wins, so are the playoff-bound teams. Upsets in either game would make some of the week 15/16 stuff more interesting, though.

Your game is huge with Bonn. None are as important as that one in determining 3-5.

IMHO Bonn will win out. I just wish there was some way for Bonn and Paris to play each other in the 1st round so one of those guys can get knocked out right off the bat!

The Thunder have struggled this season more than any. Having lost a lot of close games by turnovers, bad game planing, shitty O AI set up or all of the above. Started out promising but has sucked since. Maybe we can pull out these last three and get a shot......
