It was tough to decide this week in both the East and the West... First the East. This one team, the Houston Spartans came in pre-ranked 8th.... yeah, those guys had a bit of a chip on their shoulder and they face a tough College Town team that had recently bounced back off thier 3 game losing streak and look to continue back on the winning road.

Other wise the other match-up that I think is worth watching is http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1421&team2=26
So here is the match-up for the East.... http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=215&team2=204

Houstan Spartans Good team, good GM's, and they seem to do pretty good job game planning. They will for sure need to game plan against College Town, because NWA gave the Mighty Gators all they could handle a few games ago.... Houston comes into this game with a pretty stout D, Their Pass D is ranked 2nd and their rush D is a bit further back at 10th, but still pretty damn good none the less. Houston is looking for a home field advantage spot, but so is College Town and The NWA Feeble Minds have a bit rougher schedule a head of them making that last spot that much tougher to get, but that also means that this game will mean a lot more to the College Town than Houston, but don't expect Houston to down play what so ever!

Colleg Town NWA Feeble Minds Also have a stout D coming with the League ranked 4th Rush D and the 5th Pass D... these two teams are not lights out offensively, so this may be a low scoring game and could possibly be determined by a simple field goal. This game holds more value to College Town as I said early as they are in a four way tie for that last home field spot and with them suffering a loss to Camden Outkasts would be dropped to the fifth seed if they have same record coming into the playoffs (so I am sure someone in College town is crossing their fingers with that game today against the Lewis Mills Spartans!)

Predictions...
Chop Lobster gets the job done against the very tough and battle tested Spartans... Houston takes the tough loss in stride and never looks back going into the playoffs with, still intact, their 3rd spot at home field advantage.

Colleg Town NWA Feeble Minds 27 Houston Spartans 24

This is going to be quick... none the less here is our game of the week for the West, it is actually two games, for they are both fights for second place!

Its the DAWGS Vs. Gotham... these are two real good teams, here is the match-up http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1658&team2=504

Then our other battle is http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1028&team2=72 Death Valley Vs. CCC. CCC has just gotten off a tough loss to the BIrds and now turn their sights on a hard Death Valley team and that phenomenal passing game!

Game 1
DAWGS Vs. Gotham
The DAWGS have already dealt with the Birds and Death Valley in which both were losses, they have only two real two games left being this game and then their last game of the season vs. CCC. This could put the DAWGS out of the home field spot to the 5th seed, but so could the other three teams (Gotham, CCC, and Death Valley) so this game will be important to both teams! The DAWGS bring to the table the leagues 4th ranked rushing attack a good match-up as Gotham brings in to town top ranked HB Richard Runabout and the leagues top ranked Rushing Game.... this will be a lights out game all around!

Prediction
I don't even know what way to go here... This will be a game of ball control between to great rushing teams! it's a shame that one of the four teams will not be having that home field spot, hell the B.C. Assassins could even make a run that last spot.

Gotham Crusaders 56 RAVING MAD DAWGS 49

Game 2
CCC vs. Death Valley

CCC is waiting to get back on the winning road and looking to do so on the very dangerous and pass heavy Death Valley Reapers. Death Valley has the leagues 2nd ranked Passing game that can score at will and are able to surprise many teams this season, one being da DAWGS.... Death Valley also brings to the table the leagues 5th ranked rushing game and will be putting that up against CCC rush D that is ranked 3rd in the league and will be want to stuff them before they can even get it rolling to put more pressure on that passing game! CCC will be bring their own sting with the leagues 5th best Pass game and 6th best ground game and could be trouble for Death Valley, espeically that secondary! This will also be a lights out game with a lot of scoring, the question will be whos D shows up...

Predictions
Death Valley will be fighting to stay in the race for that last home field spot and could find them selves as low as 6th seed depending on B.C. Assassins play, CCC I believe will take it to Death Valley through the air and making a statement why they are still in the race for the number 2 seed in the West!

CCC 79 Death Valley Reapers 56

Excuse the typeos... was in a hurry on the West....

interesting that Gotham wins another game 29-27 with a last second field goal. also interesting that our kicker misses a 19 yard field goal prior to that even though there's almost no reason why he would miss that. almost sounds scripted.

Yeah, odd huh.... ha, but I have my D set now... I did not use this D against them... had to test it on the Knights first in that scrimmage game... playoffs are near and that is where it will count... GL til then bro.

Sounds to me like the simulation favors the higher-ranked team, no matter how much you gameplan for it. I know I've seen upsets on here, though they're rare and it's harder than anything to pull off a major upset.

Whether it be a Special Teams lost fumble, or a missed field goal from short distance, you're basically going up against the favored team AND the simulation.

Uhh, the Dawgs were the higher ranked team in this case, though I agree about the rarity of upsets. It was a great game that definitely could've gone either way.

Yeah I didn't check who was higher-ranked; I just assumed.

This is the first time we've beaten a team that has outranked us by 3 that I can recall. Usually you can just assume the higher ranked wins. They were ranked 60 and we were ranked 57. It seems fishy to me that we win another nailbiter 29-27 in the last seconds to pull out the win by our level 42 kicker and their level 46 kicker misses a shank.

*edit* We also beat Philly on a last second fieldgoal after Philly turned it over on a fluky fumble those two plays turn out different and we're 8-4 instead of 10-2.
