*Currently the Mustangs are 4-7 and unless they win out the season to finish 9-7, this reporter doesn't see them making the playoffs this season. Their next two games will be either their saving of their playoff hopes or a bitter demise to the disappoint that Chicago has had all year. Combined their next two opponents are 17-8, so it isn't like they are guaranteed anything right now. I am sure Kentucky and Jacksonville will find great satisfaction on beating the Mustangs and keeping them from possibly taking over there spot in the playoffs. Let the interview begin.*
Reporter #1: Tim, you guys have shown games of brilliance this year against teams like Dark Lotus, Blackjacks and the Nasty. Other games you have show nothing but pure inconsistency. What do you think are some of the issues you guys are having, most notable on the offensive side of the ball?
Tim Harper: Honestly, we are having an identity crisis. We are having problems finding a game plan that not only works but just finding something that fits our personnel of players we have now. We have been changing up our offensive game plan every game and honestly just can't get into a grove because of it. I think changing it to out smart a team is just counter intuitive for what we are trying to do. We need to find our niche this week or we are going to be out of the playoffs because of it. Honestly the way it is looking now, it is a dark day in Chicago.
Reporter #2: If you guys don't win the next two games, is there a chance of making the playoffs?
Tim Harper: Without taking at least one game of the next two, we have no chance. If we take both, we are back in the drivers seat in control once agian. If we take one, we have a chance and will have to rely on other teams to beat the guys ahead of us. If we drop both, no way to make it unless a collective choke fest hits everyone in front of us. Either way, our future is in our own hands. We can either step up to the challenge or get ready to be named as the failure of the USA Pro League. Everyone had high aspirations for us outside of our organization and we just dropped the ball. So win now or go home in shame.
Reporter #3: If you guys don't make the playoffs, will any sort of personnel changes be made?
Tim Harper: As of now, I don't see any major personnel changes being made. I am in talks in bring a premier blocking center to the team and a pure shutdown cornerback, but that is about it. I would love to disclose who they are, but that will unfold itself next season. They will definitely bolster our team even more then it is now. Outside of that, I hope to bring back everyone on the team and hope we don't have people itching to leave if we miss out on the playoffs.
Reporter #4: Last question for the reporters here due to time constraints, even if you do make the playoffs at the #8 seed, do you see you guys upsetting the #1 seed?
Tim Harper: If we make the #8 seed, anything is possible. I know my guys are able to hang with the big dogs on any given day and able to choke off a game any given day. But yeah, I think we can give them a run for their money for sure.
