I got a +1 speed +2% Catch Ball Chance piece of equipement for a CB of mine. Will the catch ball chance help him with interceptions? Or would a +2% Intercepetion chance the only piece of equipement that would help with that?

i have tried both and i really dont think its worth it maybe if you had multipe pcs that started out at 5% and upgraded them a bit, but the 10%(after upgraded) really isnt anything but if you had more pcs with it maybe...

Not a good piece imo, I wouldn't bother with it.

To answer the question though, it "should" work for both offense and defense according to the wiki: http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Advanced_Equipment#Percent_chance_items_explained

I'd be happier if it started higher than 2%, but depending on the level of the player I'd take it... Here's my example: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=972314

All those INTs came after I equipped a piece of Catch Ball Chance AE...

i'm not really sure you've proven anything

most cb's don't start "consistently" intercepting passes until their 3rd-fifth seasons because this is when their build fills out. until then your stats are still affected by building

Oh, not trying to prove anything...just a great coincidence that would incline me to recommend he try the piece of AE

Well the +1 speed is the main reason why I'll probably buy it before refreshing anymore advanced equipement. Thanks everyone!

I'm sure I will be told i'm wrong, but I am 100% certain, defense does not gain a better chance to get an INT with +catch%, only +intercept% helps that.

im pretty sure you're right. I think catch% will help, but not as much. Once the catch roll is applied I would think it's already after a successful int roll. so catch% makes no sense for defense to me.
