Things start to cost a whole lot of points.
I have tried to keep a high agility but what else should I focus on .

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=567441

Spped natural 68.4 And like + 24 in speed equipment
Agility: 66.3 +6 in equipment.

Any ideas ?
And what have I done that hasn't been all that great ?

SPS on Agility to 68 and Catching to 61 would be my next moves, in your shoes. I'd be training Strength/Blocking or Strength/Carrying for a while.

+1, and after agility to 68/catching to 61, move vision up to 2nd cap

So somebody doesn't ask me what I'm talking about:
Your stamina is too high;
catching is way too low;
obviously spent a lot of SP inefficiently;
SAs are schizophrenic and too frequent;
Player has no definitive direction or emphasis.

He's not fast, or especially agile. He's not a lock to pass to, since his catching attributes are by and far worse than his speedy ones.
This is just a good example of a "balanced" build gone wrong.

If I were to give any advice for correction instead of retirement (which tbh is the best route)
You need to raise catching. I feel that there's no other method of correcting that build. Once you get catching to ~68, start on vision. Maybe somebody has a better idea.

It's kinda hard to take you seriously Little Daddy, especially with your builds maxing out at about 20... :-)

But it's true that I don't really have a clear path for him at the moment and that a few SA's haven't been the best investments.
If I redo the equipment some I think he can change, if needed..
I def buy into the strength opinions since I have started to try do something about it but it takes a while. :-)
Catching is also something to work on, stamina wise I don't think I have "to many points in", but we'll see.

But .. How would you build a wr, ? I know this is my first wr so I'm all for some input.

And , what happends when you retire a player anyway. ?
He just dies or do I get some kind of Flexpoints in return ? I have never done it so I'd like to know

When you retire you will the initial (200?) flex points you spent to buy the play plus 70% of whatever you spent on the player for level ups and custom equipment.

If you want to keep this player longer, catching and jumping will allow you to pull in more catches.

For your next player, you need to wait until you are at least in your 30's before spending any points on Special Abilities. When you do work on SA's, pick one or two to focus on, getting them up to at least 8 or higher. Simply spreading points all over the SA trees won't help you much. But wait before doing this.

Player building is about math and hitting caps, taking advantage of the value you get from level ups when skills are capped. Initially, you need to work one skill, getting it up to 48. Once one skill gets to that cap, you can start training one or two other skills while building that first skill up to at least 60 if not 68 - those are unequipped values I am referring to.

I use a general model for WRs:
1. Speed, agility, and jumping should mirror or exceed your opponent.
2. Catching and vision can never be too high.
3. Stamina and confidence are tertiary, raise them according to demand.

As long as you don't compromise #1 by doing #2, the latter is where skill points should go.

I find that according to most CBs that I have seen, speed is the primary focus, then agility, then vision, then jumping. At a certain point (level range) the attributes begin to blend and priority is less distinguishable.
To counter a CBs high speed, every WR should focus on getting speed raised as soon as possible - that way it benefits more than any other skill in gaining automatic level raises. Agility is in higher demand in more scenarios the WR will encounter than the CB, thus it should always be higher than whichever CB covers you. Jumping doesn't need to be as high as the CB facing you, but having it low could result in multiple deflections that your WR never had a chance at combating.

Points 2 and 3 don't really need to be explained except to say that beyond 3rd cap catching I don't think the gains are as great as getting vision to 3rd cap.
