I think there are hidden attributes..and if they are around then they dont really matter. I mean not everyone player coming into the regular NFL is going to be a pro bowler..So I guess that is kind of what these hidden attributes do.. If there are any

Well that would be bullshit. Every NFL player gets paid, everyone here is paying. If guys have identical builds they should perform the same, people don't pay to make a Ryan Leaf (assuming their build is good)

You make a point.. I guess. But what fun would something be if everyone could be exactly alike in all aspects?

you'd never get true exactness because every play has a certain degree in randomness.
Plus team schemes/playcalls can skew stats too.

However, if your player has 90 speed and is a similar weight/height to another player, he should run the same speed. I'm not saying 90 speed on a DT should = 90 speed of a safety, but within the position, it should. Right now, I am absolutely certain it doesn't.

Bort has posted that is IS true.

As far as I know, I've never seen Bort confirm it. I do seem to remember him disconfirming it, though.

Vision? Agility? First Step? Energy? Morale?

90 speed on one player is never equal to 90 on another.

It is when both players are identical in every single skill, SA and vet, as well as both play the same position and are within an inch and a couple lbs of each other..

Edit: or at least it's supposed to be. I 100% agree that it rarely is the same, but I'm guessing that's for different reasons than you are suggesting. Sure, moral and energy can and do factor into that, but then they should flip back and forth between who is the faster, not have one be faster almost every single down, no matter if they are a starter and the other is the backup or when you flip them.

I know some will believe testing this kind of thing is over the top, but I have experimented with it for many ssns. I have no doubt there is a hidden factor, no matter what Bort says....And I'm the type of person that believes there was only 1 shooter on the grassy knoll.

in my case, dating as far back as the Heroes, I had virtually no turnover in roster so I could see this type of thing season in and out. It's not just one guy having a couple more bad games one season then he should. It's in many cases repeated over an entire career.
