If 90% of CB tackles are from WR catches then yes that's bad, but if they are from outside running plays then wouldn't a good tackling CB be able to stop or slow the play down. On the other hand a good pass deflecting CB probably has low str/tack skills and might miss the tackles which would then lead to a larger gain. The skills of a CB are irrelevant unless the DC knows how to maximize the usefulness of his CBs, imo.

This was what I was looking for. I asked because as I was building my CB, I noticed he has alot more PD's than tackles. I'm in a gutter about now on which way I should bring him to.

Last couple of seasons, I've had ridiculous amounts of deflections, but still manage to have an odd amount of tackles for a CB.

well if your cb is making a tackle 90% of the time its cause he just let the WR catch the ball.

ideally you want high pd's and low tackles. that shows shutdown coverage skills.

43 of my 62 tackles were either on rushes, STs, other player's assignments or terrible schemes like such:

Only 30% of my tackles came on the WR I was covering, I also never allowed an intended WR to break one of my tackles.

I also play on every side of the ball, STs, Offense, and Defense.

So, you're point is not correct. You need to watch a CBs replays to really see how good they are

well my CB has 80 in reg season, and i have a GLB buddy, guthrid, whose CB, Rocky Hustle, has 86... and as far as i know him and i make up the number 1 and 2 spots. and then dh12's CB, Asante Samuel, takes the 3rd spot with 77. there may be others that are up there and may have more than me or dh12, but i think 86 is the top spot right now.

76 regular season, 10 playoffs

I've got 66 regular season INTs. My numbers have kind of tailed off the past few seasons. i've got a shitload of INTs in scrimmages, but obviously those don't count
