If you're a coverage guy not built to force fumbles, wrap-up is a good way to save points you otherwise would have spent in strength/tackling. It just depends on your build.
it looks that way on the surface but it's much deeper than this.

If you you're a coverage guy who wouldn't be able to force fumbles anyway, why exactly would you not play on wrap-up? If your strength and tackling are in a certain range there might be a question, but for pure coverage safeties there's really nothing "deeper"about it.

Yea, i think bort or a tester or someone said that the knock loose roll is pretty much the same as a fumble roll (would be nice if they actually were fumbles rather than PDs). So strength, tackling style, the speed/angle at which you hit the player, the WRs balance, carrying, strength, morale, stamina, all come into play

i think wrap up SA might be the "cover up" for safeties. You can be powerful and have lower tackling and set on power and put points in wrap up SA to cover yourself.
That being said, I haven't seen enough missed tackles yet that hurt the team for me to think it's worth putting a lot in it.
I knew about the "knock loose" thing during pass coverage. But personally i'd rather be a safety that can get the INT before just knocking the ball loose.
So do you guys think that 60 strength, and 50 tackling is enough for balanced tackling setting?
For the most part, yea. I'd invest in sure tackler with further VAs. I know a lot of people probably aren't big fans of it because it doesn't increase your stats or anything and you can't see it in the playrecap but it may be the difference between giving up a long td or not. A couple solid pro teams i know have a lot of their defensive players with it (lineman and LBs too not just secondary)
