He is built to stop the run, bust the last team we played had 2 200 yard rushers in the game. What's up?

Because your equipment is spread out all over the place and your agility is about 25 points too low. You need all that equipment in strength/agility and you need to spend every sp you get into agility until it is at least 73 natural.

Too spread out, too slow, can't tackle, and WAY too little agility. Retirement is a good idea.

Really, I think there's still a chance for him to round out the build. Consolidate EQ would be smart. Get vision and tackling up to the first cap and then work on speed and agility and he'll be fine. The question is, is WALL working at 11? If not, then move on, if holes aren't opening then you're good to go and over the next couple of levels he can round out his build and be a good NT.

It's not like he's missing tackles left and right though. He rarely misses tackles. He just rarely makes them too.

That's a factor of your position (NT) not your build. There aren't to many NT's that make a ton of tackles -

He needs to get speed up to at least 60. That would cost 38 points.
He needs to get agility up to at least 60. That would cost at least 22 points.

That's 66 points. And those are minimal. So it would take about two full seasons to get core attributes up to minimal levels. Then the decline begins.
Man Dawg5, a DT needs to get strength, speed, agility, and tackling up over 60 unequipped by the time you reach your mid-40's, and at least one, if not two of those attributes should be above 68 unequipped at that level.
I would retire this player ASAP and then create another one. Avoid the SA's AT LEAST until you reach level 30. Waiting longer on the SA's is not a bad idea.
I'm glad you were able to look at the performance from the perspective of the yards gained by the opponent rather than the number of tackles you had. I've got a DT who does not do well with stats but I am thrilled with because he is on a very good defense that give up few yards.
