not overrated if you are a juke back. It helps get back out of the way when your HB jukes INTO a defender. the dreaded "Elusive back running into the defender" move. QC will help get that juke done more quickly. Confidence and vision help the HB decide when is the best time to juke (not too early or too LATE).

people have noted problems w/ taking QC too high (like above 8)

So...

More Agility, Speed, Carrying, Vision, Strength, Confidence, Juke, Head Fake and maybe more Quick Cut or maybe not so much.

All good advice

IMO getting QC up to 9 was the best thing I could do with my equipment. The OP is a little odd though, because that is what elusive backs do! They either break into open field and diss defenders, or get tied up short.

The carry comment can apply, but if you want a true elusive then Agi and QC/HF imo. Staple point sinks. Past that you are getting too conditional. True if a defense is stacking the box and you are on inside runs then carry can help you slip through, but carry doesn't help you in the open field with one or two to beat for the big gain.

good comments fiddy.... so carrying is more for getting through the line? makes sense.

what is your take on vision?

i really never thought vision over 35 was necessary.... I was told long ago high vision is a build killer and it always stuck with me.
