Sorry if this has already been posted.

Thanks.

It has been posted.

Put the pocket qb in te 2 slot, and put him in as TE2, when u wanna use the scrambling qb.

I thought that I had completely understood the moving of your starting QB to the TE2 spot so that your backup QB (rushing QB) could come in a run a "wildcat" play.

Unfortunately, the same thing (AI and playcalling) that I've done in prior seasons isn't working anymore. We only have a few rushing plays called within our offensive AI with X% being called in a down and distance scenario. The problem is that instead of our #2 QB only coming in for the specific rushing plays, he is coming in for several plays and our #1 QB is staying at the TE2 spot and bumping out our #1 TE. I always thought the "wildcat" was set up for certain PLAYS, not set up for full FORMATIONS. For instance, a QB rush from an I formation play should only fire when we specify in the AI that when on 2nd and between 4-6 yards in I formation with our TE2 spot activated we rush our QB to the left, correct? And, any play that does not specify our TE2 (but does specify our TE) should go back to our depth chart to pull our top/#1 QB into the starting lineup, right?

Here are my settings. In our depth chart, we have our #1 QB listed first and the backup listed second. We have our advanced energy set for our QB position to be (1) for Minimum energy and (2) for Return energy. This should ensure that our first listed QB NEVER comes out of the game unless he is forced into another position, right? We have our TE2 spot listed with only our #1 QB - he is the only person in there and the energy listed for him there is also (1) Minimum Energy and (2) Return energy. Also, our regular TE has his energy listed as (1) minimum energy and (2) return energy meaning that theorectically, our main TE should never come out.

The problem is that our backup QB is coming in on the designated rushing plays, but is also being substituted in on other plays as well and actually ends up playing more than our #1 QB. Last game we thought he would get a total of 13 plays (4 designed rush, 4 kickoff, and 5 kickoff return); but instead he got 45 plays. So something is up and I can't figure out what it is.....

Any suggestions? Am I missing something?

Te2 wont play unless you specifically put TE2 into your inputs. Also check your formation subs.

Formation subs may have been the issue since that only started this year

Set energy settings to 1/2 thats what I had to do to keep my rushing qb from going in from energy reasons in pass plays. 1/2 will do it the right way.
