As for the shots at my teams season 4 championship and loss to you, irrelivent imo. We've had 2 non-winning seasons where we've missed the playoffs and never gutted then nor did we gut mid-season. We are also a season 2 team who has had less home playoff games than you and has only been in Pro once extra year, yet I didn't gut because I have players on my team who don't have full LVL 48 equipment.
We also run a good bit of zone, and the mistakes in zone coverage are either overstated or have been fixed by bort in the last few days, so no biggee there. So yes, I'll take my shots. Good job giving up 3 games into the season, you have the shots coming imo.
Your team also has zero chance of winning a championship this season, equipment plays a huge role in that. This time that really is meant as no offense. I knew we had very little chance and didn't see the point in putting in the time and effort knowing we had little shot. I didn't work our way up to USA Pro just to give up for no reason. Simply put, what we are doing is the best thing for the team in the long run.
Zone defenses were fixed. I identified the bug on day 2 with a ton of examples to go with it. Bort said there was no bug. When Bort said there wasn't a bug I went from having zero intentions on gutting to gutting. I realized right then that we were screwed and was 110% positive there was a major bug effecting the coverage. A few days later Bort reopened the thread and did say there was a bug and fixed it. So yes, zone is working correctly now.
Just FYI, I've had 4 coordinators in the last 3 seasons and they have all been a complete nightmares. I find that keeping up through the season is quite easy once I get the base AI for offense and defense dialed in. I also knew since we were running a defense that was 100% custom it would take some games to find out what was and was not working but once it was done we would be better for it.
