Tana River, Alaska (AP): With only two remaining regular season games, the Western Conference playoff picture is starting to take shape. Over the past few games, some team's hopes were diminished as they dropped a game or two. There is one team making a strong case for why they belong in the mix. Long Beach started off the season at 0-5. After key acquisitions at every position, they have completely turned things around. Many wondered if there was enough time left in the season to still make a run at the playoffs. While other teams have struggled recently, Long Beach has won three straight. They are now poised to be above .500 for the first time in their franchise's history. To accomplish this, they must beat Seattle at home. Though Seattle is not a bad team by any means, they don't have the talent to match up with Long Beach. The final game of the season will be a bigger test. Long Beach drew the 6th seed from the East, the Bearfins. Winning both these games could possibly give the Dub All-Stars the 7th seed in the West. Splitting these games could still keep Long Beach out of the playoffs, though another team will have to step up and win down the stretch.

Tana River has a huge test today you get to see if your win over LA was a Fluke or the real thing since you face a team pretty even with them

LA was supposed to beat Thunder so this game would mean something. Now it really doesn't as our next game is against a lower team from the east. We should be pretty secure in our 5th playoff seed. Then we'll get a rematch of Thunder most likely. That will be a better game.

You'll have to wait till next year. Unless we upset Thunder then the Bugeaters, then we could see you in the conference championship game. You just have to get by Houston and Honolulu.
