If you have vision 2nd capped, how do you know you wouldn't be passing the vision checks without JTS?

to me it seems like JTS adds a bonus above and beyond normal, but only if you are lucky enough to activate it AND you pass the vision check. at least that is what i gather from the description. and so not only would it be useless without great vision, but it would also cause more offsides.

All JTS does is help you pass the vision check.

This is how I see it. Your vision determines what your vision roll can be. So if your vision is 35, then you can only roll a 1-35. If your vision is 61 then you can only roll a certain range of numbers. This may be 1-61 or it may move up to 21 to 61 or any other range.

EDIT**** These are numbers I'm just throwing out my ass for illustration purposes. I have no idea what the actual numbers or ranges are.***

Let's say you need a roll of 45 or better to pass the vision check on the first tick, a roll of 40 or better to pass it on the 2nd tick, 35 or better on the 3rd and so on.

If you roll a 42 on the first tick then you would fail the vision check under normal circumstances, however, if you have a 9% bonus from JTS your roll would be bumped up over 45 and you would pass.

FWIW I think I have seen JTS trigger for my guy once, on this play (RE)

I have been hit with the offsides since putting 15 in JTS and have yet to get a sack, maybe 56 vision isn't enough to trigger it more. I do have 15 in heavyweight too, that seems to only trigger on special teams. Be nice if it would work as often as the HBs SAs do.....

I don't think it "triggers"

Anything that you see like that, is an SA triggering, not the VA. The VA just helps you pass the Vision check, which would enable you to get a normal reaction to the snap, not a jump.

And besides, on the play that you posted, your DE actually looks pretty slow off the snap. It looks like it took him a little bit to even pass the Vision check, tbh.

Basically, Jump the Snap cannot do anything that really high Vision won't do. They both seem to do the same thing, with Vision being much more reliable.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that this is how it works.

I think it's worded very poorly, to make people think that it's something like First Step, when in fact, it's really not.

but if that is the case then there would be no difference between JTS and the vision attribute VA. there would be no point to have both except that one includes a penalty with it. i think it does have some sort of similar effects as FS, but maybe not as good? it really seems like a mystery to me.

Jump the snatch doesnt help unless you have low vision or low moral's!
