Ok so I'm not sure what to do with my DT. I've been building him towards being a high agility sack DT for a few seasons now, but it seems like with the various changes of the sim since I started it's just not working. Here's his build with no EQ:
Attributes
Physical Attributes
Strength: 70.34
Speed: 69.11
Agility: 71.54
Jumping: 29.54
Stamina: 43.35
Vision: 48.53
Confidence: 38.51
Football Skills
Blocking: 22.76
Tackling: 47.24
Special Abilities
Pass Rusher Abilities
The Glare: 3
Shed Blocks: 6
Swat Ball: 3
Strong Base: 5
Big Sack: 0
Run Stuffer Abilities
Wall: 2
Break Through: 2
Snarl: 0
Big Hit: 0
D-Line General: 0
Veteran Abilities
Heavyweight: 15
Pass Rusher: 10
Now I have multiple sets of EQ but it's all still level 32 since every team I've been on except my own has not been able to cover upgrades. So anyway I can play with his Strength, agility and speed using EQ. So if I want an agility build I can go from whats above to:
Strength: 70.34
Speed: 69.11
Agility: 97.54
Shed Blocks: 10
or
Strength: 70.34
Speed: 74.11
Agility: 92.54
Shed Blocks: 10
I tried these EQ layouts in the preseason and ended up getting pancaked 25 times for 3 tackles and 2 hurries over 3 games. So I put on my strength EQ from that point to try to shut down those pancakes which game me this:
Strength: 85.34
Speed: 69.11
Agility: 82.54
Shed Blocks: 10
That stopped the pancakes, but he's pulled down 2 tackles, 1 hurry and 1 PD in the 4 games since and that was versus inferior competition in blowout games (no blowout depth chart turned on either).
So I'm wondering is this build screwed? It seems completely useless now, yeah I can have a small amount of success if I go all agility but then he gets pushed around like a rag doll in the running game. But if I stop that with some strength he's basically a non-factor. I also have 5 SP, but am I better off getting strength up by a single point or putting that somewhere else like vision?
Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
Soul
