ROFL at TtD... ignoring the first four games?

Torrance - look at their last 4
Miami - 8-1 in last 9
N.H. - 6-1-1 in last 8

Just 3 examples, but I focused on the first four games? Jeez, bite your tongue and take a second look. No I'm not perfect, but I'm not oblivious, that's why I put together a top ten NOT focused on listing the teams in order of standings.

Even though your a lil rough on the AP, i like this thread, now we have a Top 10, AP 15, and Owner 10 rank system.

I think you dont like the AP due to the Canes being ranked lower than you think they should, wich is perfectly fine.

Keep up the good work, We should combine the threads at one point so people can get a look at how diffrent or similar the ranks are, (probably pretty similar is my guess).




I mean I'd love to call my own team top two, but I don't think I can QUITE go there yet lol. Perhaps after tomorrow evening's games we can open up a Top 10, AP 15 and Owners 10 thread that start with the three rankings listed before making comments on them? Just see everything together and then letting it become a free for all?

Its always good to have some drama with who is better than who.

I'd prefer to be first with no drama.... freaking Silverymoon... freaking Torrance winning 4 in a row against #s 2-5... freaking bad first 4 games. GAHHHHH

I do like that we each have a bit of a different focus. Yours tends to work a little more off of standings, the owners based off of what the owners have to say (duh, I know) and I'm kind of the psycho that's just gesticulating randomly with a minimal level of intelligence.

im sure Ttd will say something negative here shortly.

Did I specify those results as the issue? Was more a relation to the lower end of your table, where I felt the late bloomers (Lumberjacks, MAD DAWGS from the West that stood out) were perhaps harshly judged based on early season issues where teams like Dallas are given a jump. I'd probably have the River Men over Anchorage as well as though they've had an easier schedule they've not messed up big yet. All of this is down simply to your own personal opinion and no substance, and we already have KINGS effort for that. Both lack the information to really make them shine atm. Was wondering if someone would bring some stats into this or you two would combine into an organised weekly ranking thread with a bit more detail to get this a little more organised. As is, it feels too much like throw teams in approx. order and add throw away comment, rinse and repeat.

Think what i'm trying to say is give it a bit more life, rankings are a good idea but there has to be at least some basis behind them with ideas on your thinking or it's just names and numbers. If you check out the Oceania AAA guys they do an excellent job both on the game by game reviewer and the stats guys with their system. People don't always agree with either of the systems but they provide data and talking points to discuss and people can see what they're basing their opinions on. You at least have made a better start than KINGS originally did (hes caught up with this weeks installment) by having the short explanation but it stills struggles to be what it could be.

Like I said earlier when I acknowledged the SM Rivermen mistake, I threw it together. I will be improving and KINGS and I are going to try to put together all 3 rankings together to see what it truly looks like in comparison to standings, owners and my kinda arbitrary findings.

I fail to see how my D is easily beatable now. If it wasnt for one of those unpredictable plays that happen i wouldnt of lost..yeah if every team I face from now on coffin kicks all their Punts then yeah my D is beatable. My D didnt fail me last game it was my Offense

NO it was our good defense that shut your offense down!!!!

It's not got worse Dog, is just that all the teams around you have recently upgraded their O giving them a greater edge on your D man to man. Your O-line is still good to go but would fancy the top 6 or 7 teams to score quite heavily on you guys in the playoffs.

Plus the Elves didn't even score 21 when they played us.
