I figured it would be fun if someone did the pre-season rankings for our division. I can cover the East if someone else can cover the West.
I will update right before Week 1 if there are any roster changes.
Eastern Conference Preseason Rankings:
.) Berwick Dawgs: Coming out of the off-season, Berwick and Deimon are the hardest-hitters. Take you're pick at who is going to be the favorite. Deimon provides a complete team, while Berwick hosts some powerful individuals that will probably be regarded as All-World when this season's over. With the pressure as being ranked #1 in the Preseason, Berwick won't be sneaking up on anyone.
.) Deimon Devil Bats: An outstanding football team on paper, Deimon is one of the best teams in the EC. If you don't like Deimon, don't watch ESPN. They're going to be a lot of people's favorites to take the conference.
.) Crooklyn Bombers: The Crooklyn Bombers will be looking to steal the conference and the entire division. With some great talent on both sides of the ball, the Bombers may be a lock for a playoff spot.
.) New York Avengers: The Avengers of New York (not of Raleigh, NC
) have a good team and a championship winning offensive coordinator. They look to have assembled a squad that can take them to the top... However, standing in their way are some very good teams that make up the Top 5, and New York may find themselves outsiders looking in come playoff time.
.) Herne Bay Wildcats: A very talented team and looking the part of a Top 5 EC (Eastern Conference) team, the Wildcats will be a tough test to face in Season 9. The Wildcats have all the tools to make the playoffs, and can definitely spoil anyone else's dreams of a championship.
.) Raleigh Avengers: Raleigh looks the part of a playoff contender, but some question marks in a few crucial starting positions on the offensive line can affect their chances. Interchangable with Michigan, keep an eye on #'s 6 and 7. Raleigh has the star power to make do even with the questions on their O-line.
.) Michigan Rage: Michigan has some great pieces in place to make a serious claim at a playoff spot. The difference between the elite and the good starts with Michigan. If they can catch a hot hand and utilize their talent, Michigan can finish in the top of the Eastern Conference.
.) Newark Carjackers: A good looking team on paper. Newark's overwhelming offense looks to win some shootouts this year. How will the defense hold while the offense is scoring all those points?
.) FC Hezbollah: Some solid pieces are in place in FC Hezbollah. Without a complete roster and one or two cpu's in starting spots, time will tell just how Hezbollah will fair.
.) Sin City Silent Assassins: They've got some real talent, but too many lower-levels are currently starters for them to really shine.
.) New Sejs Warriors: With some decent pieces in place, the Warriors still have some CPU's starting and some young, low level talent spotting starting spots. They're going to have to really fight to keep their heads above water.
.) Miragliano CowBoyz: With a lot of CPU's and lower level starters, the CowBoyz need to have some key players step up to make a dent this season.
.) Daytona Stoners: Mostly a CPU team, unless Daytona can change drastically before Week 1, they may find themselves being a bottom-feeder.
.) Kentucky Madcats: With a few solid starters, the Madcats still have too many CPU's and question marks in their starting rotation. Kentucky will have to pull the trigger on some free agents to avoid being snake-bitten this season.
.) Roanoke Rebels: Roanoke has some serious talent, but still mostly CPU's plague the starting roster. It looks like they're assembling a massive force, but so far in the preseason, they just haven't put together the team they need.
.) Fort Lee Bridgemen: They're a CPU team, so by default, they're placed in the bottom of the conference.
