Is it worth getting to 60 at some point? or is stamina ok at 50 or so?

There's always going to be a better way to spend you points than an high stamina.

funny you say that but since stamina decreases every attribute, it's quite a bit more important than we give it credit for. 60 might be high, but somewhere around 50+ there would be a considerable difference in the energy of your player vs the opponent and it would give a good advantage. I'd like to hear more on the subject.

Or if you just play on a team with low quality backups. With all the whining some people are doing about not being able to fill out roster, shortening your rotation and raising stamina is a good idea.

Remember too that alot of times, those OL get out and block on your LB.. More than likely they have higher strength than your LB, which is going to wear you down quicker, making you less effective.. A good sub rate helps, but if your guy can keep his energy and effectiveness higher for a longer period of time, that seems like as good or better a solution..

I have 45 STA for my lvl 41 LB and probably wouldn't trade any of those points even if I had the chance.

No, it isn't better than a rotation, because there is an opportunity cost in terms of other attributes for each point you spend in stamina.
It's much, much more effective (and, may I add, every top team employs this strategy--just look at their rosters) to have the max number of players possible and have them each maximize their individual potential to form an aggregate player who is going to be better than the mediocre player (because he invested in stamina) who is playing the whole game across from them.
