I meant catching was around 30, my CB jumped in front of like 5-8 passes that season but dropped the (sure) INT everytime. Therefor I capped catching but had zero success with getting more INTīs. What didnt you understand?

how do you know that INT wasnt a result of catching?
Its really hard to tell if capping catching helped your guy or not because you play new players/teams after you cap it. Underdogs is the only one Iv seen that has any "proof" that catching might help. Even his data is sketch.

I guess you didn't notice the stats. Before season 8, I capped catching and they went from... 4 ints to 13 ints. Granted a lot of them were blow out games... so I will show Season 9 against higher or same level competition.

Do I think catching is the end all be all? No. But do I think it helps in moving AFTER they intercept the ball to increase your chances in INT TD's or catching the BALL when the CB is in position to deflect or catch the ball? Yes.

Is this raw 100% truthful data? No. But I think it's clear there's a difference between the two. And the only two key differences are catching and ballhawk.

wait, are you arguing for catching or against it? If your arguing for catching I totally agree with you. You can tell that something DOES help, but it seems hard to tell that something ISNT helping.

there might be some logic missing in that idea of mine though...

well if you examine the quality of the catches and compare them with the old.. you can see that they were more direct and sure handed catches than the earlier seasons. That's all I'm trying to get at... sure there are some old ints that are decent grabs, but the shear number of quality catches increased from season 7 to seasons 8 and 9. Simply based on percentage wise basis.
