I don't recall seeing this last season. In my pre-season game in a number of formations the TE is now lining up on the left side instead of the right. How does this affect coverage in man to man? It seems like he just stays back to block but what is to prevent him for going uncovered for a pass or leading the blocking on the "weak" side? Does this mean the left side becomes the strong side when selecting the opponent's formation in the DAI?

Here are some examples from my scrimmages. Check especially the last play. The weak side is now the strong side.

You have been able to have the TE pass block on the left side for awhile now.

It really has no impact on much of anything besides having an extra blocker.

So you can't send him on pass plays like you can from the other side?
