Here’s an interesting combo for a Running back:

Scat Back

A back catching passes out of the backfield can be a great weapon. Each level of Scat Back gives this player a +2% bonus to catching passes when playing HB or FB, and a +1% bonus to speed and agility when running a route while playing HB/FB.

And

YAC Attack

This player is tough to bring down after a catch. Each level of YAC Attack gives a +5% bonus to breaking tackles within the first second after catching a pass shorter than 10 yards.

Anybody try this?

Doesn't the scat back bonus stop working the second that you catch the ball?

I have tried it on my HB he did realy good in the passing game this last scrim. Altough I only have 7 in scat back. He broke one tackle directly after reciving a pass probally thanks to YAC Attack but I'm wondering how yusefull that one is.

Good combo if you run a lot of swing and out routes, but if the bulk of your receptions are on screens, it is pointless.

Why is it useless for screen passes?

What about scat back with a piece of Route Running AEQ. Thinking about buying one of those. Speed/Agility at natural 75/75, so with all those boosts, be real tough for an LB to cover.

YAC Attack gives a bonus to breaking tackles within the first second (20 ticks I believe) of catching the pass. On a screen, if you have it working correctly with the correctly built O-Linemen, no-one should be touching the HB within the first second of catching the pass. Also, Scat Attack for a screen pass? The HB is practically standing still when he gets the ball thrown to him. If he has that much trouble catching it on a screen, train up catching.

1 second is 10 ticks.

Correct. Bort confirmed 1 second is 10 ticks (which is actually 20 clicks on forward). Thus adding another thing to the list he intentionally makes confusing.
