i'm officially amused!
Every year people say the same, but the East has always had the most talent at the top of the pack, the West is only stronger if you count all 16 teams, but if you count only the best teams, the East has always been the better conference, every single year since this game has been around.

Incorrect. I think the talent at the top is about even(top 4 West vs. top 4 East), the East just seems to deliver in the Champ game.

I wouldn't say the East has always had the most talent at the top of the pack. I've played in USAP 6 seasons now, 4 in the East where my teams won 3 championships and even in those seasons I thought the EC champ played their best dotball in the championship games. The East is just extremely clutch in the big game.
If it was the Madcats in the Bortbowl I'd still be pretty nervous as a Western conference team.

Look at the top teams in the East, look at the top teams in the West, add them together and the result is a group of the very best teams in all of GLB. I don't pretend to know any more than that, except for knowing that the West will think they're the better conference again next ssn
Then again, it wouldn't feel like home if the West didn't blow their own horn all ssn long.

The west blowing their own horn here having the meaning of what, MEM and Compton? *Maybe the wolfpack?* I thought the rest of us were pretty reserved this season :o

It's more of an annual historic event. Each of the last 3-4 ssns there are 3 or more teams from the west that go on and on and on and on about how much better the West is than the East. The ssn before this last one was the most over the top I've seen. I just find it amusing, since both conferences are so evenly matched, IMO.

I think most people are being facetious when they say that. I know I always say it, but rank the conferences pretty evenly when it comes to the rankings. I do think the West was a bit deeper talent-wise though this season.

Perhaps this ssn most were saying it tongue in cheek...Perhaps. Still, I'm not convinced that most of the vocal West didn't truly believe that MEM, WW and maybe even Nav, possibly MM & HHW weren't heads and tails above anyone from the East. It doesn't matter in the least, though. Honest to God, I don't mind at all. It just amuses me. Frankly, it's understandable. The West has more of the glamor/super star/self promoting dots & teams than the East, and there is nothing wrong with that either way. The East is mainly just made up of working class like dots that get their jobs done. Hell, the biggest super star dot by far in the East is Cotes, and you never hear him so much as peep. So, ppl tend to pay more attention to those that draw attention to themselves and are far more likely to buy into the hype. After all, the foundation of brain washing is that if you tell someone something enough times, they'll eventually believe it. Why do you think I have to tell my wife how lucky she is 7632547126547621547657216354 times a day?
Also, outside of the KY, I disagree about the deeper talent-wise thing, but that's cool. It's all just opinions anyway. I've always respected your opinion, Sik. So, who is to say which is right.
