My WR started the year with 8 in strength and 8 in blocking. Having already gotten speed to a natural 70, agility to a natural 68, and not wanting to train anything over 40, I decided to focus on strength and blocking.

He's now a 21 in both. I'd like to get them both to 30, but wanted to know how high you guys recommend taking these. He'd only really need to block a CB, although I imagine the strength component could help in his receiving as well.

keep in mind that training anything between 35 and 48 is the least efficient range to train in as far as SP value. so I wouldn't train them over 35.

but yes, I think strength helps directly with catching (not getting the ball knocked loose), and breaking tackles. Blocking can useful for run blocking on outside runs, and also on ST if you play on the KRS.

I wouldn't raise blocking past 35 training, but once you train strength up to 35 thru training, it could still be worth putting SP into then, once you've pretty much hit your other target caps.

I didn't do the math myself, but here's what was posted earlier in a thread here.... could certainly argue that it is better to stop training at 30...

Based on the value of attribute gain in SP

Most Valuable Training

Any skill between 8-25
Any skill over 60
Any skill between 26-30
Any skill between 49-55
Any skill between 31-37
Any Skill between 56-60
Any Skill between 38-48.07

Least Valuable Training
