Most scrimmages today were more exciting than the playoff games even though it didn't matter who won, and that is a sad statement on everyone involved. How hard is it to PM the other owner and just set a 1st down % that can't be rushing? Pretty easy. How hard is it to get someone with an advantage to give it up while it is working to their benefit? Nearly impossible. The game sucked this season because we all suck (some of us worse than others).

I will say that we stopped using the season 8 offense when we discovered it would work basically every time even if you didn't do it that well. Really annoying for us because shortening the game has always been a staple of our gameplan when facing better (or just more) personnel, but even we got sick of watching the same stupid sim over and over. We started losing, but to be honest we didn't mathematically have much of a chance this season because of roster depth and STs play...things which will be corrected next season...so I wasn't all that worried about it. I bet we broke bad USA Pro records for a playoff team with STs TDs allowed, and luckily I doubt anyone keeps track of that.

Here's to hoping the remaining playoff teams actually give us a show! :beer:
