I've never build a quarterback that's been proven effective so I have no real experience with what does and doesn't work, only speculation.
I started a QB a while back (super slow build) and intended to make him a "pocket passer", not much movement and a very good arm and eyes. So I have a few questions from people who've actually tried it (and on some level succeeded.)

1. How high does throwing have to be before you really start hitting your targets a good majority of the time?
2. I'm going to be in a one QB system. At level 13 how high should stamina be before you can do this and expect strong performance? Also, how high should confidence be (considering the opposition's level; ie: will there be many demoralizing effects being tossed around?)
3. Is it more important to raise throwing (performance wise) vs raising strength or vision beyond the first cap?

Right now I have a pretty generic build (though ahead of the level curve in points spent per level) in regards to the way my stats have been distributed...

4. If you had my character, what would you do right now if you had 20 SP and about 25-30 TP to spend?

5. I trained jumping a little bit early on; I figured it helps you leap over tackles, and it might have something to do with throwing mechanics. Was this bad/stupid, or is anyone else with me on that?

1. Around 80 imo but 100 for really good consistency. Vision and strength also affect this

2. train it to 30

3. Performance wise i would be raising vision and strength. Long term, I would get throwing to 68 then go back to strength and vision.

4. Train confidence stamina on intense. Get strength to 60 with the SP's

5. Bad, I dont think people can be hurdled in the game. if they could I bet there would be an SA for it. Jumping is just a random thing bort put in for automatic level ups for some reason. If he actually made it help throwing then...

Doesn't help at all. I train it only with Strength at a time I needed a STR intense combo.

do str/throwing early on and would rather train str/carrying cause carrying is actually matters.

not if you're not a rushing QB.

Yeah, I only ever trained str/jmp because I figured jumping might have something to do with the release mechanics. I've heard that jumping determines how quickly you might "jump into motion" which would relate to quick reactions for QBs.

At low levels, passing performance is more about the other players on the team than the QB.

I had a QB enter as the lone QB an expansion league with 21 stamina - of course, by the end of the season it was up to 32 from training. The team went 20-0, and the QB took the league yardage and TD trophies in a walk. This is because there were several quality pass catchers, a willingness to throw to the RBs, and a very strong running game that enemy Ds had to focus on. Just avoid INTs - you are already OK in this regard, at least as far as an expansion season goes - and you'll do fine if the other players are good.

I like vision more than most people on these forums, because I really despise INTs.
