Not sure if I'll do a straight slow build of him, but I'll definitely be focusing on capping major attributes at first rather than spreading them around.

So, what should I cap first? Strength, agility, or speed? Are all three major attributes for a HB?
And how soon should I get his carry skill up if I want the HB to be effective this next season?

str, speed, agil/carry in that order. and since the first season and a half or two seasons are either spend in the d leagues or in a low capped league i usually keep all my sp's till after. trust me it makes them great for the rest of their careers

You will miss natural level gains if you don't soft cap(48.60)as soon as you can.Saving skill points for a whole season and beyond will kill your build.Train up an attribute on intense until the attribute number plus the saved skill points will hit the first cap.Example.You have saved 25 skill points. You have been intense training Strength and Carrying. You hit 23 something in your strength attribute.Dump your saved skill points into it.If you have more, stop when it takes more than 1 skill point to add 1 to your attribute. Now move on to the next attribute you want to soft cap next.If it's speed, intense train speed and agility. Then you could intense train carry and confidence. And so on.

Can you or someone make an outline or a chart for this please? I just don't seem to be able to understand what exactly is going on? Looks like a good idea whatever it is though.

1st Soft cap = 48.6, after that each point of attribute increase will cost you 2 SP. But, when you level up, you get points in your main skill set. After the 48.6 , these increases in attribute points = 2 SP.

If you wait until you get through your first season, you could potentially miss several points because the automatic increases will only = 1 SP because your attribute is below the soft cap.

But, training that is done before applying your SP will have a larger impact because of the %age vs the attribute points. The higher your attribute value, the lower your training %age increase. See bottom right of training screen.

So, the strategy here is to gain the largest increase by training but still get the 'bonus' points by soft capping as soon as possible.
