The Hammer allow fewer rushing yards per game than most teams in USA pro, including the Wolfpack

Prevent defense does tend to give up a lot of yards rushing... it's the curse of being so far ahead all the time.

The Wolfpack defense allows fewer opponent victories than most teams in USA Pro, including the Hammer. Make your own conclusions.

1st point: bad. teams tend to throw the ball when they are far behind, not run.
2nd point: good

you'd be amazed how many teams run when they are far behind, still

then you should have no problems when teams do rush, considering you're the best at stopping the run...or so you say

That is the point...we are stopping the run better than all but 3 other teams in USA Pro, yet we cannot stop this gameplan, that doesn't even require any special knowledge, or builds...or even really a good idea of how the game works. That means things are out of balance, and as more teams have become aware of that, it has become a game-wide exploit which is making people talk about quitting because the whole enterprise is a waste of time to them.

No special builds you say......

If they were special, not every team would be capable of doing it.

I'm on vacation...For some odd reason, the wife gets a little pissy about me spending my vacation on GLB. I PMed Hukton Vioxx and explained the situation. In this case, one of my GMs is doing this GP and it's entirely up to him. I'll support him either route he chooses to take, win, lose or draw, but, because he has the O for this game, the call is between him and Vioxx.

I think we should pull a Csonka, and have the PB rush 50 times. Mainly because my guy is the PB and this will probably be the last pre nerf game of his career.

You've got the playoffs to do that (and you pretty much will have to).

LOL... interesting thread...

I think the Woodys and Bullets would prefer we put forth our best effort this game Beating the Philadelphia Continentals would have been a better starting point to locking up a playoff birth

I have nothing to do with the gameplanning, but from a fairness standpoint I think our team should prepare for this game like we would any other. If I was in the Woodys or Bullets position, I'd hope for the same.

Making the playoffs would be great for us, and missing wouldn't be that awful. We would probably get beat in the first round anyway. I am really pleased we will finish at worst 8-8.

Yeah, donīt want to have your expectations out of kilter.
