I've been offered $1700/per day deal with no signing bonus to re-sign with my current team. Does this seem about right? Any advice would be appreciated.

Why does the money matter?

Do you like the team? Do/Will they pay for your EQ? Have an active forum?

Money matters from the stand point of having to train during an extended off-season and to upgrade equipment. I will give discounts to owners who are actively trying to upgrade the team/stadium. However, I'm indifferent to this team. I just don't want to screw myself by not re-signing and end up getting less as a Free Agent.

If you like the team, the money isn't particularly important.

I'd take it if you don't dislike the team.

If the off-season rolls around and lasts awhile, and you run out of money, just ask the team owner to renegotiate the deal again to add a small bonus so you can cover off-season training. If he won't, then you lose out a little and know not to re-sign there for Season 10.

Actually, the best thing to do would be to ask the owner if you run out of off-season cash, if he'd be willing to throw you some coin before you actually sign the deal.

money doesnt matter in this game much. As long as you have enough to train and they give you bonus's for EQ upgrades.

You should hold out until they give you a multi-season deal with a huge signing bonus. And take off all of your equipment while you are negotiating. That really is the only negotiating tool you have as a player.

Money doesn't matter...but CBs will always have it tossed at them. Mine is already half-commited to a team next season, I'm going to put him on the marketplace with a closed build just to see what happens.

If you like the team take the deal. If you don't like the team then don't take it. Don't worry about the money It is worthless. With the new equipment funds I only spend it on training.

money doesnt matter much if you need money to train the team will reng. your contract to 1 season day 40 and send you a bonus. if you need equipment they pay for it. so why do we need to care about money jus look for a team where you get alot of PT

So long as you like the team, and the team covers equipment while having a decent stadium situation, it doesn't mean much as to how much cash you get.

I'd rather have the minimum deal and given the promise that my equipment will eventually get covered then get a huge contract only to see that the team folds because they can't afford to pay you
