What attributes/SAs/VAs/etc helps TEs come down with the football instead of it being pass deflected? My TE isn't having a problem with passes dropped, just deflected.

Bawl Hawk might help you catch some of those tipped passes but it isn't worth it yet imo, maybe once the rest of the % attributes are evened out it will though.

hmmm... not a big consensus here.
does the defender have sole 1st shot at the pass or does the receiver's abilities affect it?

What PDs do is affect the pass quality, so the mechanics/abilities needed to catch the ball are the same, just a higher level needed.
I think the order of calcs is always the same, but the receiver gets an anti-deflection roll or something to make it less likely the defender can win his roll. What abilities play into the anti-deflection roll we don't really know.4

As I understand it the defender get the first shot at deflecting a pass. Then the WR gets a shot at catching the pass, if it was defelected this becomes much harder (higher jumping, vision, catching should all help). Then after the WR catches the ball, the defender gets a chance to strip the ball out of his hands (higher carry & strength maybe?), this is also called a deflection on GLB. So basically, you are a bit limited in what you can do to prevent deflections because the defender gets 2 chances while you only get 1, and different skill sets are needed to prevent the two different types of deflections.

PD's hurt my TE this season. I can't remember if I did this before or after game 16 but I counted up his targets and he was at 99. He had 3 drops this season and 51 receptions. A few were bad passes but the vast majority were deflections. Jumping and vision are near 48, catching near 60, and with VA/Equips speed is near 105 and agility is close to 80. Any ideas? I know it's pretty pointless to guess how the passing game will work next season right now but I'd appreciate any ideas that could help me decide where to go next season.

Based off what I've seen so far. Catching and vision.

I don't know, my TE seemed to come down with a lot of tipped balls this year and his catching is on the low side. tough to say, hes got catching, vision, strength, and jumping all somewhere between the first and second caps. Maybe its the fact he's 6'5''? Or possibly sure hands VA, but I am not sure if that fires on tipped passes
