Hi guys,

I´m currently slowbuilding my power back in a peewee team. Strength is at the first cap (51 now) and I have 23 sp left to spent. I´m not sure if I should get strength to the second cap while training speed/agility, or if I should get speed to the first cap asap.

What do you guys suggest?

Here are his most important stats:

str: 51
agi: 15
sp: 17
car: 17
vis: 15

Thanks

You will want to get strength to the final cap that you are going to put it at. For instance, if in your FINAL build, you want your strength to be at the 68 cap, you should get it there immediately. That way, each level up will be adding points to a skill that requires 4 SP to level. You do not get the full benefit of slow building if you don't.

Once you have committed SP to a skill (like you have to strength) it is crucial to level it as quickly as possible with every SP you can until it is to it's final resting spot. Then rinse and repeat with the next attribute that you want to level.

Let me try to explain this in an example...

From lvl 1-21, your player gets +.33 to every major ability per level

So, if at the first cap, it costs 2 SP to get 1 point, these +.33 automatic attribute gains for lvls are really worth .66. At the second cap, when it costs 3 SP to get 1 point, it's like they are worth .99, and the 3rd cap, it's like they are worth 1.32 per lvl. As you can see, each lvl up is worth increasingly more.

The argument can be made however, if you get 2 skills to the first cap, then both will be earning +.66 for a total gain of 1.32 and this is cheaper than taking one attribute to the 3rd cap. This is a very valid point, but to which I refute, if you level 2 stats to 48, then to 60, then to 68, by the time the player gets there, they will be level 30 something. At lvl 30, major attributes only gain .19 per level instead of the .33 that they did at earlier levels. Therefore, the return (.19 * 4) is much smaller than that if you rushed your one stat to the 3rd cap immediately (.33*4).

For a power back your next attribute should be carrying.

In order of importance: Strength, Speed, Agi, then Carrying.
