I haven't seen anything like this yet, so point me in the right direction if I just missed it.

I'm going to have some free time coming up (stupid layoffs) and I was thinking of putting together a visual guide for defensive alignments/coverage for all defensive formations vs all offensive formations. I was thinking this would help new DCs and OCs in seeing who lines up where in different coverages vs different formations. Screen caps would be labeled with the base formation, cover, shift, focus, coverage. No play links would be included (how it works, or how well it works, would be up to you to figure out).

So...

1) Would this be useful for the community?
2) I'd need submissions to add to the guide (probably by PM).

Thoughts?

Are you going to account for every blitz as well? Because blitzing changes man coverage too.

I could (maybe not for every single possibility, but for those that are submitted for the guide). The first thing I wanted to cover was the initial player alignment for some of the lesser known/used coverages. Most everyone knows what a 4-3, Cover 2, Strong, Run looks like vs a Pro Set. But what what about a Cover 0, or a 4-2-5.... you get the idea.

I think it would help with new DC/OC AI setup. It'll make it easier to identify defenses for the OAI and the will make it easier to see alignments for gaming certain runs or planning blitzes in the DAI.

I think your somewhat on the right track. There are plenty of guides on here for Cover0 to Cover4. Thats the easy stuff. A good(new) visual guide for GLB would be one with who covers who when certain players blitz.

Seems pretty pointless if the DPC is actually coming out next season.

Who knows when it will come out. It was supposed to come out before Season 8 also
