If you take away the skill raising VAs, i believe you relegate all the season 1 players that didn't slow build to utter uselessness. I know that personally I will end up retiring almost ever single season 1 player I have if they take these away.

It's the only way my season 1 dudes can compete with season 4 slow builds that have 10+ more in their primary atts. The reason i can compete now is that even though the slow build can still have 10 more in the stat, the diminishing returns due to % change is lowered just enough that the season 1 players aren't completely unable to keep up, in fact that can still compete reasonably well.

I don't see anything but slow build players being viable AT ALL in this game anymore, if the stat raising VAs are taken out.

Which would about totally kill the interest in the game for everyone i know who still plays lots of season 1 players that weren't slow built.



dude, who gives a fuck about season one players? 6 months from now they'll all be gone, and you want to really base a decision that's important for the future of the game on if it'll hurt season one players?

I must agree with Rusty here, once again season 1 player will be gone and im sure most of season 2 and 3 players aswell. This is also why there will be a big dropoff of talent in the PRO's very shortly.

Borts biggest profit margin most likely came from us players that have been here since season 1 and 2, so the natural thing for him to do is to get this striaghten out and fixed correctly since he knows we are all about to start deleting and remaking players. If he really wants to keep the majority of the GLB community happy then he will do what is best for the game within the next 2 seasons so that we continue to play.

nah, the VAs will not be enough to buoy those toons up that long.. if there is an SP freeze in season 10 that is...

I personally have not heard this BUT i can see why he would do it...

If he does go through with the player decline after 10 seasons he will eventually lose alot of top teir players due to retirement and we are already seeing a downgrade in our own Pro league, he will also lose the FLEX needed to keep those top teir players playing.

example; if i retire my QB next season i can boost everyone else i have just with the FLEX return and what i have left over. Essentially I can play this game from now until about season 20 for free just by deleting a player a year, albiet i will have fewer players but i will be playing for free = NO MONEY for BORT im sure this will make BORT not a happy man.

He came up with a Great idea here and he really needs to work the kinks out soon or his biggest fan base will start lossing interest...

Sockamidic is right. I listen to that radio show with the powers of GLB(bort and DD). season 10 sounds like they stop growing but do not declining until like season 12..

12 is not 14

Once the SPs freeze, the VAs will keep toons afloat for a couple of seasons but not for 4 seasons

Started this at the end of season 7. It was nice to be able to boost around 35 players with just retiring some older ones. That trend will probably continue for me as well.

Oh and you should probably just retire your QB because his build is terrible
