Do I need to set my man coverage distance to "Medium" to prevent my player from launching forward at the snap of the ball on passing plays. Fast WR and high vision QB really take advantage of that small window. Does Semi-Aggressive and Aggressive have anything to do with it?

Or do this has something to do with the defensive AI settings?

no....try semiagressive maybe? I play close and never have a problem.

close setting will make you step up on the snap. the whole point of close is that you are supposed to be shaddowing the WR's every move. from my experience close is the best setting only once you have high agility (70+) and at least 5 in change direction so that your player can correct his movements quickly after he takes the step forward.

semi-aggressive/aggressive/etc is only how your player acts once the ball is in the air, not when hes in coverage.

Interesting! Well, I only have 86 speed and 67 agility and only 3 in change direction. Thanks for the insight and welcome more info if available.

I want to try medium, but you get owned with the short games or quick passes (slants). Well, I'm getting owned now most of the time, so it would even be a different, lol.

You need more Agility, my CBs have 90 Speed / 86 Agility at level 36 and 38.

at least 5 in CD? Iv played close my whole career with 2CD and managed to be a really good Shutdown corner.

my CB does this from time to time and has almost 90 AGI...
