I am still unconvinced that the Blocking skill should be trained for players on Defense. But, i am still hearing agents tell others that they should train blocking to break blocks.

Has anyone actually trained blocking significantly and found that it does, indeed, help them to shed blocks?

I think that was debunked a while back...

If it does help, which is doubtable, it is barely enough to make an impact. IMO, you're better off with more points in STR/SPD/AGI or even VIS

Bort has said several times that it helps in a small way...those who have tried raising blocking quite a bit in the past weren't able to see the improvement...I conclude it helps in a very small way...I wouldn't do much more than train it after you have your other skills built up...

It's all about "stat gaps." The idea is you train blocking to reduce the margin between the OL's blocking, but since most OL's BLK is untouchable, I don't think it is even worth training it until SPD, AGI, VIS, STR, TAK, STA and CON are where you want it. I would even train jumping before blocking as well.
